Neil Carberry, Chief Executive,
Neil Carberry was appointed as Chief Executive of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation in June 2018 having been managing director at the Confederation of British Industry, leading the CBI’s work on the labour market, skills, energy and infrastructure.
In 1999, Neil began his career in recruitment working for executive search firm Fraser Watson before doing a post-graduate degree in Human Resources at the London School of Economics and joining the CBI in 2004.
He is a member of the council of the conciliation service ACAS and of the Low Pay Commission where he helps guide pay policy in the UK. He is also the chair of a small primary academy trust in Oxfordshire.
Samantha Hurley, Operations Director,
As Operations Director, Sam has responsibility for the development of APSCo’s presence and reputation within the UK.
She ensures innovation, development and improved delivery of existing and new members services, resources, and engagement through the various delivery teams, and the continuing improvement and development of the operational running of the UK business.
Sam has over 30 years’ experience in the UK recruitment sector, and previously ran APSCo’s legal and public affairs offering. Prior to joining APSCo in May 2013,
Sam owned and ran a legal services company and held senior management positions within the recruitment sector.
George Zarkadakis, Digital Lead,

George Zarkadakis is the Digital Lead of Willis Towers Watson, responsible for innovation and advisory services on the impact of automation in business organization and culture.
He has over 25 years’ experience in management consulting, media, marketing and communications, as well as in digital strategy and innovation. He holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence and is the author of “In Our Own Image: will Artificial Intelligence Save Us or Destroy Us?” (Rider Books).
He blogs regularly on Artificial Intelligence, cryptonetworks, and the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

As Regional Sales Manager, Gary leads Bullhorn International’s Field Sales organisation with a primary focus on the UK & Irish Recruitment markets.
Since joining Bullhorn in 2015, Gary has held a variety of positions focused on managing the growth and strategic partnerships of key Accounts and Affiliations.
Prior to Bullhorn, Gary worked at Usablenet, assisting some of the largest organisations around the world with their Web Accessibility and Mobile Application strategies.
Gary holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics from the University of Roehampton.

Ryan McCabe is CEO of Odro, the UK’s leading supplier of video interviewing software to the recruitment industry. Ryan started out his career in 2005 as a Mechanical Engineer before moving into sales where he found his passion. It was while running his own agency that Ryan met Odro’s co-founders, Bill Scouller and Mark Beeby, who had originally developed the video tech for the legal sector.
Recognising the value of the platform for the recruitment industry, Ryan joined Mark and Bill and the three transformed Odro from its origins in the legal sector to one of the UK’s leading recruitment technology brands.

Laurie’s role is global and diverse in nature as Managing Director of Global Consulting Services and Specialist services at Talent Collective, a global consulting firm at Alexander Mann Solutions.
With over 20 years’ experience in talent acquisition across agency, in-house, RPO and consulting environments, Laurie leads a team of over 350 highly skilled subject matter experts delivering consulting, implementation and training solutions to over 100 multi-national organisations across more than 80 countries globally. Laurie also has responsibility for the groups Emerging talent teams and Executive talent teams on a global basis.
Laurie holds a BS (Hons) in Economics. Prior to joining Alexander Mann Solutions, Laurie started her career in an Investment Banking agency experienced hire recruitment team. She worked on the Morgan Stanley campus team, at Origin HR, Deutsche Bank’s onsite team and at Capital Consulting, where she was the head of Implementation and Service Excellence. Laurie ultimately founded Talent Collective in 2010, which became a part of Alexander Mann Solutions in 2014.

Sarah Wall is the Marketing & IT Director of Darwin Recruitment; Digital and Data recruitment specialists focussing on the European and US markets. Sarah’s team deliver a multi-faceted approach that is completely embedded into the overall growth strategy of the business.
The marketing function at Darwin has cemented itself as a profit centre and as a department accountable for driving revenue with targets and robust systems for tracking campaign performance.

Simon Roberts, Head of TA,
I’m the Head of Talent Acquisition for Siemens plc leading a team of 20 x Talent Acquisition experts in professional and early careers hiring teams as well as recruitment marketing, university relations, talent programmes and technology innovation professionals. Prior to Siemens (2010) I worked for Matchtech Group as a Recruitment Consultant and Account Manager.
In previous roles at Siemens I’ve been responsible for Early Careers hiring strategy and delivery as well as project managing recruitment of 1000 people in 18months for brand new facility within our Wind and Renewable business area in Hull.
At Siemens we’ve been recognised externally in awards for innovations in talent attraction in the early careers space and advances in selection with gamified based assessments.
